Jamestown, Virginia was England's third attempt at colonizing the New World. Hundreds of settlers from England lost their lives in the first three years due to starvation, sickness and fear of Native American attack, which makes the establishment of America a great feat.

This prayer is in its originial dialect. Between the years of 1611 and 1619, it was read morning and evening in the courtyard of James Fort by the assigned guard on duty. THE PRAYER will hopefully inspire us to all hear the hearts of those crying out at Jamestown for the Father's mercy and provision. May those who read this prayer gain a greater appreciation for England, the country which birthed the United States of America.
